After checking out the city it was back to the station to head down to Fremantle and thankfully the sun followed me there, well it did for just a short time and after that the weather was the usual rubbish that I have become used to, luckily enough I had the umbrella with me anyway and it came in most useful. Oh while I was trying to stay under the umbrella I dropped the computer (had just been to a computer tech about the over heating and crashing it has been doing, they said buy a new one!). So I pulled the computer apart and the fall has basically bent the corner and cracked the cover of the screen, but it wasn't too bad considering and everything went back together, well except the locking bar on the keyboard ribbon which is broken. I have plugged a USB keyboard in and now the computer is working just fine, there have been no further incident to date of it crashing, which is just weird.
Anyway back to the matters at hand, the rain made it really quite ordinary walking about, though still I covered most of the central area of Fremantle, there are some great old building still and it hasn't been overly built up with more recent ugly architecture. There are a lot of students about as well (think University) and as such there are a lot of cafes and "trendy" coffee shops with the latest version of the "industrial" fit outs where you can pull up a packing crate and make yourself comfortable, ok I am obviously too old because I just keep wondering what is wrong with tables and chairs. Well it's a nice dynamic and busy place.
While I was at Fremantle received a call about the Count and the news was good, all was done and it was ready to be collected, so back on the train and change at Perth for the trip to the end of the line heading out of the city and then the drive back into town which I made sure was happening well before the rush hour and then the rest of the day just disappeared.
Heading out to Bunbury and Busselton tomorrow...
