13 Apr 2025

This morning started bright and clear with all the Morries to gather in a car park at 0700 for a 0800 drive to the Midland Railway Workshops.

At around 8am the "convoy" headed out and quickly resulted in a split group as traffic lights and other traffic have no interest in letting a bunch of old cars travel together, it's always the way of these things. Lots of people starred mid conversations and stared as the cars all passed by though, which is a great result.

Most of the cars managed to arrive around the same time and quickly filled the forecourt of the museum. Lots of cars to see yet again, just in case you hadn't picked out al the intricate details at previous gatherings and some new cars turned up as well. The museum pit on a well received breakfast for everyone and gave interesting detailed talks about the history of the workshops and fired up some of the old machines. The steam traction engine out front kept a lot entertained with its slow ponderous movement down the roads.

and plenty of cars...

Oh, tonight was a great sunset, but I didn't walk down to the beach, so no sunset pic tonight.
